McLuck User Experience – 4.5/5

I really enjoyed playing with McLuck Casino, and their desktop interface is nothing if not a pleasure to look at. It’s remarkably beginner-friendly while keeping the intuitive search filters and advanced features that appeal to experienced users. From making an account to playing games, the whole experience feels self-explanatory.

You can see your loyalty level, purchasing options, promotions, referral bonus, and the casino’s Live Dealer Section at a glance from the leftmost sidebar. McLuck First Impressions

Creating an account is normally going to be the first impression that awaits players, and while registering I found it easy to follow the instructions on each page. I have very few complaints about my user experience at McLuck – there was no learning curve whatsoever on desktop and mobile. While they maintain a beginner-friendly user interface, they also don’t neglect to incorporate search filters and categorical icons that save time and add value. As touched on already, the one thing I didn’t love was the barrage of pop ups that greeted me every time I logged in – which got old quickly over the course of a week. Other than that, it’s all thumbs up from me.

McLuck doesn’t offer any virtual table games or video poker variants. This puts them behind competing sites like Chumba, and I’d like to see them change this in the future. They have four arcade-style titles from BGaming, and they’re fairly unique.

I enjoyed playing Fishing Club, Dragon’s Crash, Gift X, and the original Space XY. Fishing Club put me in the position of a fisherman overlooking a serene backdrop, and I watched Crash XY’s multiplier climb through the ceiling before it came hurtling back down to Earth. Gift X took me on a trip to the North Pole as Santa and his reindeer launched into the sky on Christmas Eve.

Regardless of how fun their arcade games might be, there’s lots of room for improvement here.

Live Dealer

I saw that McLuck features four live dealer games, putting them ahead of the majority of sweepstakes casinos. I played Auto-Roulette, Live Roulette, Gravity Blackjack, and Live Baccarat. All these games are hosted through Beter Live, and the video quality was top-notch.

It’s with innovations like this when I really feel that the gap between social gaming and traditional real money gambling is narrowing. I enjoyed feeling as though I was standing inside the casino as I spun the roulette wheel and tried not to hit on a hard seventeen.

There’s no purchase required to play games with McLuck, but you can top up your GC balance if their 7,500 GC welcome package and 2,500 GC daily bonus isn’t enough to keep you afloat. I listed all the payment and prize redemption methods available at McLuck in the table below:

I wanted to test the process of making purchases at McLuck for myself, so I spent a few dollars adding GC to my balance. I clicked on “Get Coins” and I was immediately redirected to a pop-up explaining that I could get 50,000 GC and 25 free SC for $9.99. This is usually priced at $24.99.

With a discount that good, I had to bite. After confirming my identity through McLuck’s KYC, I entered my card number and billing address on the next screen. I bought my GC with a VISA debit card, but I saw that you can also use MasterCard and Discover to purchase Gold Coins. You can also use Google Pay and Apple Pay, but only if you are using the app or mobile site.

After I’d won enough SC to request a prize redemption, I was able to exchange 15 SC for a gift card. I received a virtual gift card through email within two hours. Once I’d won the 75 SC required for a bank transfer, I entered my account and routing numbers before confirming the transaction. I noticed my winnings appear in my balance 24 hours after making the request.

I found both purchasing coins and redeeming prizes to be exceptionally simple, and I love the minimum requirement of just 10 SC for a gift card. That said, McLuck could definitely do with building out their payment options. I’d like to see bank transfers available for purchase (not just redemption), and an e-wallet option added.

For me, I found it exceedingly simple to obtain Gold Coins at McLuck. Aside from receiving 7,500 GC immediately after creating my new account (and 2,500 GC every day for a week after that), I wanted to explore the process of purchasing GC packs with my own money.

After confirming that I wanted to make this purchase, I clicked “Pay Now” on the next screen. I was prompted to add my credit card number and billing address. Finally, I clicked “Add Card & Pay Now” to store my information for next time and receive my Gold Coins. While the smallest purchase you can make is 4,000 GC for $1.99, you can buy 200,000 GC and get 104 free SC for $99.99. Unfortunately, I also saw that making a purchase was the only way to unlock their live chat, which is a detail I’m not a fan of.

Again, I’d like to drive home the point that it’s always free to play games at McLuck. There are also plenty of free ways to get Gold Coins, and I tried them all out. The competitions on social media have plenty of free GC at stake, and you can mail in envelopes to receive 4 free SC each. Just keep in mind that your envelopes have to be hand-written.

How To Redeem Sweeps Coins for Cash Prizes At McLuck

It couldn’t be much easier to redeem prizes at McLuck, and the entire process took me all of 5 minutes to complete. However, I had to verify my identity with McLuck by going through their mandatory KYC (know-your-customer) procedure before I could exchange SC for real prizes.

The minimum amount you can redeem at McLuck is 10 SC for a gift card or 75 SC for a bank transfer, easily one of the lowest and most beginner friendly minimum redemptions around. As of right now, they don’t accept CashApp or PayPal for prize redemptions, which I would like to see them change in the future. It’s worth noting that you can’t exchange SC you receive as part of a GC pack for prizes. Instead, you have to play through them at least once.

When you’re ready to redeem prizes at McLuck Casino, click the “Redeem” button near the top left corner of your screen. Click “Verify Account” and click “Submit ID” on the next screen. You’ll also be asked to take a selfie. Next, you must submit proof of address by sending in a photo of a bank statement, credit card statement, phone bill, or utility bill that’s less than 90 days old.

On the bright side, responding to fewer inquiries generally translates to quicker replies. I got a message from a real person on their team 30 seconds after introducing myself. Next, I dialed the “US Related Payment Queries” phone number (+1 424 842 4264) and waited in their hold queue for 10 minutes before speaking with someone. However, this phone line is exclusively for payment-related inquiries. I also followed McLuck on Instagram, X (Twitter) and Facebook.

This allowed me to (potentially) win free coins in their social media competitions, and you can interact with their team on socials. I was impressed with McLuck’s support options as a whole, with the main snag being the fact that live chat isn’t available until you’ve parted with some cash.

What McLuck Could Improve

McLuck could improve by making their live chat feature accessible to everyone, even if it means waiting a minute or two longer for a reply. Forcing players to purchase GC so they can unlock a feature goes against the principle of sweepstakes casinos being free-to-play in the first place, in my opinion.

Their game collection could also clearly benefit from some table games, and I’d like to see some more payment methods added for coin purchases. Judging by the info on in Sweepstakes Rules section, McLuck does sometimes – or has in the past – offered SC as part of the welcome bonus or login bonus, but that wasn’t the case for me in New York.

Other than that, I don’t have any major complaints. The McLuck mobile app works flawlessly on my iPhone, and their banking process couldn’t be much easier for beginners to get the hang of.
