Major Issues Plaguing Regal Technologies

A report by NEXT.io indicates that several affiliates involved with the company are complaining about major issues, including deception and unpaid bills. Screenshots were recovered in an investigation into the matter, showing overdue invoices and Regal representatives trying to explain why payments were not provided.

NEXT.io quoted one affiliate business head as stating, “Regal’s reputation is increasingly defined by a continuous cycle of delayed payments and unfulfilled promises.”

According to the insider, many affiliates, including themselves, have experienced significant operational strain due to Regal’s actions. It’s not only about delayed payments but also about disregard for contract obligations and a lack of basic business ethics.

One Affiliate Speaks Out

Many Regal Technologies affiliates have not spoken out due to legal proceedings, but one individual has decided to come forward publicly. In the NEXT.io report, Thomas Gall of Minnesota has reported his issues with the brand. As a small-time affiliate, Gall was owed $300 and chased the payment for quite some time without any resolution.

Gall reported that Regal eventually sent an automated email stating that they had tried to reach him several times and that his ticket was to be closed. Before the automated email, Gall had repeatedly sent messages trying to resolve the affiliate payment issues.

He is also heavily involved in Reddit and, as a moderator, has heard from Sweepslots customers about issues they were experiencing. After a quick search, I found several posts on Reddit discussing issues connected to withdrawals. Players report that the withdrawal process is taking much longer than the expected ten-day maximum time frame.

Is the delay due to insufficient funds or improper handling of redemption requests?

Giving Sweepstakes Gaming a Bad Reputation

Sweepstakes-based gaming is already under fire thanks to a recent call by the American Gaming Association regarding regulatory oversight. The AGA feels that sweepstakes sites are not adequately regulated and need to be reviewed for compliance.

The call to action was made as sweepstakes gaming is literally sweeping the nation. Almost every state offers some form of sweepstake entertainment, be it an online casino-style site or sportsbook. The AGA wants state lawmakers to pass new legislation to prevent operators from offering real-money gaming.

The group feels the lack of oversight allows current platforms to be a risk for consumers and a challenge to the economic integrity of the legalized iGaming market.

Operators like Regal Technologies do not help the cause when it comes to avoiding payment to affiliates and players. While operators such as this should be called out for their wrongdoings, one company’s actions should not affect the industry as a whole.

Hopefully, Regal’s bad actor moves will be seen as an isolated incident and will not add fuel to the fire that is starting to surround the sweepstakes industry as a target by the real-money gaming sector.
